Fifth Annual Sustainability Fair!

We would like to thank those who attended our fifth annual Sustainability Fair on Thursday, June 20th. It was another great event and we believe all who attended had a great time and learned a lot. We are excited to improve every year and continue to think of ways to enhance the experience for all. As with our sustainability initiatives, our Sustainability Fair will continue to evolve. If you attended,  you will receive a survey for your feedback on how to improve the event in the future. If you didn't attend, we would still love to get your input. Any ideas can be submitted to info@pacscape.com

The Green, the Bad and the Ugly

Chuck Bowen of Lawn and landscape Magazine wrote the following article:
I was in Portland last month, so I called up Bob Grover for a private tour of some of his company’s coolest projects.
We’ve got a big sustainability issue coming up this winter, and I wanted to get a jump on it. I wore my nicest flannel shirt and Bob picked me up in his standard issue bright orange Pacific Landscape Management polo.
For a few hours, Bob showed me around the city, pointing out some of the latest in water gardens, bioswales and other green landscape improvements. We saw projects downtown and more traditional installations at office parks out in the suburbs. He showed me the good, the bad and the ugly...Read More

Fourth Annual Sustainability Fair Thursday, June 20th

As you may already know, Thursday, June 20th is the day for our 4th Annual Sustainability Fair. This has been a great event for us to be able to demonstrate and explain our ongoing development of the sustainable elements of our service. We have partnered with many of our suppliers as well as the local municipal and non-profit organizations that support our efforts. In addition to a traditional trade fair with these partners, we also will be showing off and explaining all of the sustainable experimenting we are doing at our office. View a Rain Garden, Bio-Swale, Eco-Lawn, Lawn Alternatives, Drought Tolerant Plantings, Recycling Programs, Low Emission Equipment, Organic Fertilization, etc. We do not believe you will find a more comprehensive display of sustainable landscaping anywhere else.

One of 100 Best Green Companies

At their annual Best Green Companies luncheon yesterday, Corey Peterson received Pacific Landscape Management's award as Oregon's 13th Greenest Companies.  This is our 5th year on the list and an award that we are quite proud of with our focus on helping our customers improve the sustainability of their landscapes through our service as well as our internal effort to be as "green" as possible in all of our business operations.  We are proud to have done this in some of the challenging economic times.  Sustainability is a balance of environmental protection, social acceptance and economic feasibility.  Our goal is to continue to challenge ourselves to reduce our environmental impact while maintaining beautiful landscapes at the lowest possible cost.  We believe all three objectives are achievable together.
